It all adds up!
Taking enough physical activity (at least 30 minutes most days of the week for adults and 60 minutes every day for kids) is crucial for good health and wellbeing, but most of us in Northern Ireland aren’t nearly active enough. Physical activity is especially important for children if they are to grow into healthy adults. Getting active now will help them develop healthy habits that will benefit them throughout their lives. On this website you’ll find the information and (hopefully!) the motivation you need to increase your and your family’s level of physical activity and, by doing so, to protect health both now and in the future. The site is for those of us who know or suspect that our and our family’s lifestyles could be healthier than they are now. It won’t tell you how to train for a marathon or how to become an international standard athlete, but what it will tell you is how to incorporate enough activity into your everyday lives for better health.
The most important thing to remember about physical activity is that whatever you can manage to fit in, it all adds up!
