Active at home – active play

It’s all too easy to just sit at home watching TV or playing on the computer. How about getting more active at home?

Get the kids to:

  • Make up indoor games like balloon volleyball (just watch those ornaments).
  • Target practice – throw a bean-bag (rolled up socks make a great alternative) at a target such as a bucket or upturned umbrella. Each time a throw is successful take a step back. Each time a throw is unsuccessful take a step forward again.
  • Put on some music and do some crazy dancing.
  • Do a quick tidy up – it may surprise you how much children love to help out.

Encourage your children by joining in and maybe give them some more ideas.
